Remodeler Context Pack Brief
Use this brief to build the small, maintained body of company truth that a strategist, writer, salesperson, vendor, or AI system needs. The output is not a giant prompt or an indiscriminate document dump. It is an approved, source-linked context pack with visible gaps.
Outcome
A reader should be able to understand what the company does, who and what fits, how it works, what it believes, what it can prove, and where human judgment is still required without receiving client records, credentials, or private operating detail they do not need.
Source collection
Prefer current first-party material:
- owner and subject-matter interviews;
- approved service, process, and project documentation;
- real buyer and Sales questions;
- estimating, design, production, and client-experience explanations;
- permissioned project examples, reviews, and client language;
- brand, voice, claim, and publishing rules; and
- decisions already adopted by the company.
For every important statement, retain the source, date, audience, approval state, and owner. When sources disagree, preserve the disagreement until an authorized person resolves it. Use Unknown rather than completing the story with plausible filler.
Suggested modules
| Module | Useful contents |
|---|---|
| Company and point of view | Story, values in practice, voice, useful-before-commercial stance, claims the company will and will not make |
| Work and fit | Services, markets, project types, minimum/typical fit where approved, poor-fit work, capacity constraints, referral cases |
| Buyer and household | Triggers, decision-makers, anxieties, alternatives, information needs, occupied-home realities, accessibility needs |
| Process and expectations | Inquiry, design/preconstruction, estimating, proposal, production, communication, changes, closeout, recovery |
| Cost and uncertainty | Approved cost/scope drivers, allowances, unknown conditions, range rules, what requires project-specific judgment |
| Proof | Projects, decisions, constraints, tradeoffs, outcomes, reviews, credentials, rights, permission, freshness |
| Sales and education | Questions, objections, qualification rules, stage meanings, assignment resources, proposal-comparison guidance |
| Trust boundaries | Privacy, client isolation, rights, safety/legal/contract boundaries, prohibited outputs, approvers |
Human and AI contract
AI may retrieve, compare, organize, summarize, and draft from approved sources. It should cite or link back to those sources, expose uncertainty, and abstain when the context cannot support a claim.
Humans own company truth, strategy, taste, project-specific judgment, claims, rights, privacy, budget, legal/safety decisions, and final approval. A polished draft does not change its evidence state.
Do not include passwords, recovery codes, private password-manager links, raw customer lists, unnecessary personal information, private home details, financial records, complete CRM exports, or cross-client material. Use the minimum context needed for the approved job.
Maintenance and acceptance
Name an owner and review trigger for each module. Refresh when services, markets, process, team ownership, claims, tools, access, or recurring buyer questions change.
Accept the pack only when:
- important statements have a source or are clearly marked unknown;
- public-safe and private modules are separated;
- client information is isolated and purpose-limited;
- permissions and usage rights are recorded;
- consequential claims have an approver;
- a new reader can find the source behind a recommendation; and
- obsolete decisions remain distinguishable from current guidance.
