Meta Performance Media Partner
This is an optional specialist seat, not a declaration that every remodeler should run paid social. Use it when Paid Social is an approved lever and the company needs more than campaign setup.
Role in one sentence
Find, validate, and scale promising paid-social campaigns by turning organic, paid, CRM, Sales, and competitor signals into better creative, funnels, and business decisions.
This is not primarily a “Meta ads operator.” Media buying is one part of a learning system:
observation → hypothesis → creative → destination → paid test → pipeline signal → next iteration
The core outcome is a repeatable system that discovers which messages and creative patterns attract the right buyers, turns the evidence into specific briefs, and scales only when downstream quality supports the decision.
When the seat is ready
Do not hire this role simply because the channel is available. The company needs:
- a clear service area, project-fit standard, offer, and business constraint;
- enough authentic source material and production capacity to test meaningful ideas;
- a useful destination and an owned follow-up path;
- defined lead, qualified opportunity, and Sales feedback events;
- company-controlled accounts, media, data, and export rights; and
- a budget and evidence window large enough to learn without pretending every test will win.
If those conditions are missing, use Paid Readiness and Learning to decide what to repair first.
What the partner owns
| Accountability | Required behavior |
|---|---|
| Performance strategy | Sequence what to test, defer, and require before scale. Protect a constrained budget from channel sprawl and low-learning activity. |
| Organic-to-paid intelligence | Treat promising organic topics, people, openings, visuals, and proof as hypotheses, not guaranteed paid winners. |
| Creative test architecture | Maintain explicit hypotheses across angle, spoken hook, visual opening, format, offer, proof, CTA, creator, audience stage, and destination. |
| Media buying | Own launch, pacing, exclusions, QA, and scale/hold/iterate/retire decisions inside the approved channel and budget boundary. |
| Creative direction | Turn results into prioritized briefs for new scripts, hooks, openings, edits, formats, offers, proof, and calls to action. |
| Funnel direction | Decide when to test a native form, message path, or owned landing page; specify message match, proof, qualification, events, and follow-up requirements. |
| Revenue learning | Read platform response alongside CRM stage, Sales disposition, conversion lag, qualified opportunity, and won-work evidence. |
| Company continuity | Work inside company-owned accounts and return naming logic, change history, reports, source links, decisions, audiences, exclusions, and exit artifacts. |
The partner may direct creators, editors, designers, web specialists, or a technical operator. It does not need to personally do every craft. It does need to keep one accountable paid-learning loop intact.
Creative-to-pipeline evidence
Every meaningful paid variation should retain a durable link to its source asset and concept. Record enough context to compare ideas, not just ad names:
- source asset and derivative IDs;
- concept, angle, spoken and visual hook, format, creator, offer, proof, CTA, audience stage, and destination;
- platform campaign and ad identifiers;
- spend and diagnostic response;
- lead, qualification, appointment or equivalent, opportunity/proposal, won/lost, and revenue evidence when mature enough;
- cohort age, data freshness, confidence, and known gaps; and
scale,iterate,hold, orretire, with reason and next brief.
Platform attribution is evidence, not the sole source of truth. Compare cohorts at similar maturity and optimize toward the deepest reliable event that occurs often enough to learn from. The business scorecard still follows the whole cohort.
The working loop
- Listen. Review approved company context, organic and paid history, comments, Sales language, CRM dispositions, and observable competitor patterns.
- Form a hypothesis. Name the buyer tension, variables, expected behavior, evidence window, and decision the test can support.
- Create and register. Brief the work, retain source lineage and rights, and connect the variation to its concept and destination.
- Launch and read. Buy enough controlled media to learn; separate business outcomes from diagnostic metrics.
- Close the loop. Read paid response against CRM and Sales evidence, then make a documented decision.
- Brief the next cycle. Return specific learning to Content, production, Website, and Sales.
Failures remain part of the record. The system should show how later briefs became smarter, not merely how the account accumulated more ads.
Ownership seams
| Collaborator | Boundary |
|---|---|
| Social Strategist | Owns shared creative-intelligence requirements and translates combined learning into future organic direction. |
| Content Owner | Supplies authentic source material and places paid recommendations into the production backlog. |
| Marketing / technical owner | Owns tools, integrations, stable IDs, CRM joins, access, and data plumbing. |
| Web / CRO | Builds and verifies pages or flows against the message, experiment, and event specification. |
| Sales | Keeps disposition and stage data trustworthy; returns objections, fit, and lead-quality feedback. |
| Revenue Lead | Owns project fit, offer, economics, budget boundaries, claims, and consequential strategy. |
The partner does not own organic publishing, company truth, the shared technical architecture, CRM hygiene, Sales follow-up, final legal/privacy/claims approval, or unrestricted budget changes unless separately assigned.
A bounded proof phase
During an initial proof phase, require the partner to:
- audit source material, past campaigns, destinations, CRM stages, tracking, and follow-up;
- choose one useful audience problem, offer, destination, and small set of creative hypotheses;
- state what is being deferred and what would justify expansion;
- launch controlled tests and review qualified lead evidence with Sales; and
- return the next creative and funnel brief with a written decision.
Do not reward maximum activity. A trustworthy learning system and one plausible route to qualified pipeline are stronger proof than many campaigns with no downstream connection.
Evidence to request when choosing the partner
- A walkthrough from observation to hypothesis, brief, variation, result, and next brief
- A report where creative appears beside the metrics and decision
- A permissioned, redacted, or synthetic CRM example that reaches qualified opportunity or revenue, with attribution limits stated
- A clear source-ID, rights, naming, and export model
- A landing-path brief that covers message match, proof, qualification, tracking, and follow-up
- The actual delivery team, capacity, collaborators, and ownership seams
- Comparable high-consideration or long-cycle experience, not only ecommerce return screenshots
- Company ownership, least-privilege access, source-file return, and tested offboarding terms
Do not request another client's confidential campaigns, CRM records, personal data, or commercial results as proof.
